 개역개정 방언을 말하는 자는 사람에게 하지 아니하고 하나님께 하나니 이는 알아 듣는 자가 없고 영으로 비밀을 말함이라
 KJV For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
 NIV For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.
 공동번역 이상한 언어를 말하는 사람은 성령의 힘으로 신비한 일을 말하는 것이므로 아무도 알아 들을 수가 없습니다. 그러므로 그것은 사람들에게 말하는 것이 아니라 하느님께 말씀드리는 것입니다.
 북한성경 방언을 하는 사람은 성령의 힘으로 신비한 일을 말하는 것이므로 아무도 알아 들을 수가 없습니다. 그러므로 그것은 사람들에게 말하는 것이 아니라 하느님께 키워주고 격려해주고 위로해주려고 사람들에게 말하는 것입니다.
 Afr1953 Want hy wat in 'n taal spreek, spreek nie tot mense nie, maar tot God; want niemand verstaan dit nie, maar deur die Gees spreek hy verborgenhede.
 BulVeren Защото, който говори на език, той не говори на хора, а на Бога, защото никой не го разбира; но в духа говори тайни.
 Dan Thi den; som taler i Tunger, taler ikke for Mennesker, men for Gud; thi ingen forst?r det, men han taler Hemmeligheder i ?nden.
 GerElb1871 Denn wer in einer Sprache (O. Zunge) redet, redet nicht Menschen, sondern Gott; denn niemand versteht (W. h?rt) es, im Geiste aber redet er Geheimnisse.
