 개역개정 형제들아 우리가 너희를 위하여 항상 하나님께 감사할지니 이것이 당연함은 너희의 믿음이 더욱 자라고 너희가 다 각기 서로 사랑함이 풍성함이니
 KJV We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
 NIV We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.
 공동번역 [주님의 심판] 교우 여러분, 우리는 여러분을 생각할 때에 언제나 하느님께 감사를 드릴 수밖에 없고 또 그렇게 하는 것이 당연한 일입니다. 그것은 여러분의 믿음이 놀랍게 자라고 또 여러분 서로 사이의 사랑이 더욱 더 두터워지고 있기 때문입니다.
