 개역개정 그러나 교회에서 네가 남을 가르치기 위하여 깨달은 마음으로 다섯 마디 말을 하는 것이 일만 마디 방언으로 말하는 것보다 나으니라
 KJV Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

 공동번역 그러나 교회에서 남을 가르치기 위해서는 이상한 언어로 일만 마디의 말을 하느니보다는 차라리 내 이성으로 다섯 마디의 말을 하고 싶습니다.

 Afr1953 maar in die gemeente wil ek liewer vyf woorde met my verstand spreek om ook ander te onderrig, as tien duisend woorde in 'n taal.
