 개역개정 여러 사람이 오래 먹지 못하였으매 바울이 가운데 서서 말하되 여러분이여 내 말을 듣고 그레데에서 떠나지 아니하여 이 타격과 손상을 면하였더라면 좋을 뻔하였느니라
 KJV But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
 NIV After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: "Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.
 공동번역 그 때 바울로가 일어서서 오랫동안 아무것도 먹지 못하고 시달려 온 사람들에게 이렇게 말하였다. `여러분, 내 말대로 그레데섬을 떠나지 않았어야 했습니다. 그랬더라면 우리는 이런 재난과 손실은 겪지 않았을 것입니다.

 ACV And being long without food, then Paul, who stood in the midst of them, said, Ye truly ought, O men, to have complied with me, not to launch from Crete, and gain this damage and loss.
