 개역개정 그러나 우리가 그들이 실족하지 않게 하기 위하여 네가 바다에 가서 낚시를 던져 먼저 오르는 고기를 가져 입을 열면 돈 한 세겔을 얻을 것이니 가져다가 나와 너를 위하여 주라 하시니라
 KJV Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
 NIV "But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."
 공동번역 그러나 우리가 그들의 비위를 건드릴 것은 없으니 이렇게 하여라. 바다에 가서 낚시를 던져 맨 먼저 낚인 고기를 잡아 입을 열어 보아라. 그 속에 한 ㄱ) 스타테르짜리 은전이 들어 있을 터이니 그것을 꺼내서 내 몫과 네 몫으로 갖다 내어라.' (ㄱ. 사 드라크마짜리 로마 화폐. 유다 돈으로 한 세겔)
 북한성경 그러나 우리가 그들의 비위를 건드릴 필요는 없으니 이렇게 하라. 바다에 가서 낚시를 던져 맨 먼저 낚은 고기를 잡아 입을 열어보라. 그 속에 은 한 세겔이 들어 있을 터이니 그것을 꺼내서 내 몫과 네 몫으로 갖다 바쳐라."
 Afr1953 Maar dat ons hulle geen aanstoot mag gee nie, gaan na die see toe, gooi 'n hoek uit en neem die eerste vis wat opkom; en as jy sy bek oopmaak, sal jy 'n stater kry; neem dit en gee dit aan hulle vir My en vir jou.
