 개역개정 이 달 이 날에 유다인들이 대적에게서 벗어나서 평안함을 얻어 슬픔이 변하여 기쁨이 되고 애통이 변하여 길한 날이 되었으니 이 두 날을 지켜 잔치를 베풀고 즐기며 서로 예물을 주며 가난한 자를 구제하라 하매
 KJV As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
 NIV as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.
 공동번역 이 달은 쓰라림이 기쁨으로 바뀌고 초상 날이 축제일로 바뀐 달이요, 이 날은 유다인들이 원수에게서 풀려 난 날이라, 이 날을 기쁜 잔칫날로 지내며 선물을 주고 받고 가난한 사람들에게 따뜻한 손길을 뻗는 날로 삼으라고 하였다.
 북한성경 이 달은 쓰라림이 기쁨으로 바뀌고 초상날이 축제일로 바뀐 달이며 이날은 유대 사람들이 원쑤에게서 풀려난 날이라. 이 날을 기쁜 잔치날로 지내며 선물을 주고받고 가난한 사람들에게 따뜻한 손길을 뻗는 날로 삼으라고 하였다.
 Afr1953 as die dae waarop die Jode rus gekry het van hulle vyande, en die maand wat vir hulle van kommer in vrolikheid en van rou in 'n feesdag verander is -- dat hulle daar dae van maaltyd en vrolikheid van moes maak en om mekaar lekkernye en aan die armes gawes te stuur.
