 개역개정 그의 삼촌의 딸 하닷사 곧 에스더는 부모가 없었으나 용모가 곱고 아리따운 처녀라 그의 부모가 죽은 후에 모르드개가 자기 딸 같이 양육하더라
 KJV And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter; for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful, whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
 NIV Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl, who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.

 ACV And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter. For she had neither father nor mother, and the maiden was fair and beautiful. And when her father and mother were dead, Mordecai took her for his own daughter.
